Arriving at the Venue

The moment I step onto the wedding location, I shift into storytelling mode.

The Morning Prep Begins

🎞 Timeline review: I go over the wedding schedule to ensure I know when and where I need to be. I also check my notes about the couple—special details they mentioned, must-have shots, and any family dynamics I should be aware of.

☕ Self-care moment: A quick breakfast and coffee because it’s going to be a long, energy-filled day!

Before I even step foot at the venue, I make sure everything is set.

📾 Gear check: Camera bodies, multiple lenses, memory cards, batteries (all charged!), flashes, and backup equipment. I always bring backups because you never know what might happen!

A black and white photo of a wedding cake with a 'You + Me' neon sign and Mr & Mrs cake topper.

I greet the couple and wedding party, easing any pre-wedding nerves and reminding them that today is all about enjoying the moment.

I start capturing details—the dress hanging by the window, rings delicately placed, invitation suites, shoes, bouquets, and any sentimental items. These are the little things that complete the story.

Then, I document getting ready moments—the bridesmaids laughing over mimosas, a mother adjusting her daughter’s veil, a groom’s deep breath as he buttons his jacket.

These raw, unposed emotions are what make candid storytelling so powerful.

The First Look (or Pre-Ceremony Moments)

If the couple has planned a first look, this is one of my favorite moments. The anticipation, the tears, the pure love—it’s magic every single time.

If they’ve opted to see each other at the ceremony, I capture moments separately—groomsmen photos together , bridesmaids fluffing the dress and together with the bride,  deep breaths before the walk down the aisle.

The Ceremony: Where the Magic Happens

While most couples are focused on the big moments, I’m also watching the small, heartfelt details—the way hands grip tighter during vows, the flower girl’s shy smile, the proud look from a grandparent in the front row.

Family & Wedding Party Photos

Right after the ceremony, we dive into family portraits. I work quickly and efficiently so guests can head to cocktail hour. I guide family members through the process while keeping the mood light and fun.

Next, we move to wedding party photos, filled with laughter and energy. These aren’t just posed shots—I encourage interaction to capture the genuine friendship and excitement.

ï»ż Let’s tell your love story, one candid moment at a time.

Being a wedding photographer isn’t just about taking pictures. It’s about capturing emotions, preserving legacies, and telling love stories in a way that feels honest and timeless.

Every wedding I photograph is a reminder of why I fell in love with this craft—because every couple deserves to relive their best day over and over again.

Wedding photography isn’t just about showing up, snapping some pictures, and heading home. It’s a whirlwind of emotions, creativity, problem-solving, and pure magic. Every wedding day is different, but one thing remains the same—my commitment to capturing love stories authentically.

Ever wondered what a wedding day looks like from a photographer’s perspective? Here’s a peek into my world, from the early morning preparations to the final dance floor moments.

Couples Portraits: The Golden Hour Magic

Now, it’s time for the couple to have a moment alone (well, with me tagging along!).

I guide them in a way that feels natural and comfortable, allowing them to soak in their first quiet moments as newlyweds. I don’t just tell couples to pose—I prompt them to walk, whisper, laugh, hold hands, and simply be themselves.

This is often where the most intimate and timeless images come to life.

Reception: The Celebration Begins!

Once the reception starts, my role is to blend in while capturing the atmosphere.

💃 The grand entrances, first dance, and emotional speeches all unfold, and I make sure every moment is documented.

🍰 I capture the cake-cutting, fun dance floor moments, and all the unexpected surprises that make each reception unique.

The Work Isn’t Over Yet: The Post-Wedding Process

Many people don’t realize that the wedding day is just half the job. The real magic happens in the editing process:

  • Backup, backup, backup! I immediately store images in multiple locations to ensure they’re safe.
  • Curating the best shots. I go through thousands of images, selecting the ones that best tell the story.
  • Editing with care. I enhance lighting, tones, and details to reflect the natural beauty of the day while keeping images timeless and authentic.
  • 8-weeks later, my couples receive a carefully curated wedding gallery—a collection of moments that transport them back to their special day.
